How to edit clothes and maps

firstly this was posted by Copson1 in SG's forums and im giving him credz for this That is also why there are spelling mistakes and i cant be bothered to edit this as im making the server.


Ok what you need is an;
~Mrs compiler decompiler
~A dds thumbnailviewer
~The Gimp
~DDS Converter 2

All of the downloads are at the fourth or fith post.

Ok first open up your my computer. You will want to find the "(C"

some computers have names in front called Local Disk etc you will see the (C after it. Every computer has it.

Ok when you have that open you click on new file at the top.

make the file

MRS

Now what you want to do is download that mrs compiler decompiler located at the 4th or 5th post.

save that and extract it to the MRS folder you jsut created.

{what is extract?}{answer go to google and download winrar's 30 day trial- its free so no problems there.}{you can then use that prgram to extract files after they are saved.}

Next what needs to be done is your

C:/satansgunz folder

there you will see model

that contains man.mrs and woman.mrs and quest monsters.

copy the man.mrs do not cut it. this is jsut an example you can use man or woman.

{ok wtf is mrs?}{answer in simple terms is a file containing all the information for a crtain object in this case man. containing dds files for everything that that charcater or thing pssesses.}

{now wtf is dds}{dds stands for Direct draw surface. The dds's used in this game are pictures of the armor organized in a certain manor. this is what you ill be editing in what way you want to.}

now download the dds thumbnail viewer.

Ok take you man .mrs file and paste it in you MRS folder you created earlier.

Ok now press the start button in your bottom left corner and go to accesories and open up command prompt.

{ok wtf is this command prompt looks complicated and looks like id hurt my comp lol} Yes it looks like one of those things that you see on a old omcputer. Yes this does control your whole computer, well sorta, but it wont hurt it (lol) or anything if u put this in right.

Ok now in command propmt type this is

cd\mrs

then press enter

it should say

C:\Mrs>


then type this

mrs d man.mrs
!!!!!!
{ok wtf just happened a big list of shit came down wtf did i jsut do to my comp!}{answer: dont wrry you didnt hurt anything you just seperated the dds file from the mrs file so it became a folder.}


now in your MRS folder you created earlier there should be a man folder

Download the dds converter 2

open it up and go to your man folder under

C:\MRS\man

ok in the input slot but it as dds

and the output put tga

click on covert and it should close after its done


convert all of them its easier

Now download the gimp

you have to download gtk2.0 to download he gimp gtk is on the website


now open it up in the gimp and clor it or whatever you wan to do.


go back to the dds converter and put input as tga and output as dds

convert them back.



now open command prompt again and type

cd\mrs
again

then type

mrs c man


ok now it should have a file man.mrs again

then copy and paste it and replace it with your sgunz man.mrs and your done

I said i couldn't be bothered and the Dl links wont show up so people should just google them or go to the DrGunz one.
